01

Scope

This page describes the current pre-release Rhythm app, operated by Elemental Dynamics Inc. through Motive Motion Lab. It is separate from our website privacy notice. We will update it when product data practices change.

02

Data on your device

Rhythm stores tasks, habits, journal entries and attached photos, focus history, preferences, and chat history locally. The app and its widget share the data needed for timers and system surfaces through an Apple App Group. There is no Rhythm account or app-managed cross-device sync in this version. System backups may include app data according to your Apple device settings.

03

On-device features

Core planning, journaling, and timers do not require Cloud AI. Natural-language capture has an on-device parser. Apple’s on-device model may be used where supported and available. Photos you choose for your journal are stored by the app on the device.

04

Optional Cloud AI

Cloud AI is used only when enabled with your consent. Requests go to Rhythm’s Cloudflare Workers AI service using the Qwen model. A request includes your message, up to 16 recent chat messages with length limits, a limited planning/context summary, locale, an installation identifier, and app version. Network processing also exposes technical information such as your IP address.

05

Journal privacy and chat

Raw journal bodies and attached photos are excluded from the automatically assembled cloud context. However, anything you type or paste into chat can be included in a cloud request and recent chat history. Do not paste information you do not want processed by the cloud provider.

06

Cloud processing and retention

The current Rhythm AI service has no application database for storing chat conversations. That does not mean there is no processing or technical logging: hosting and AI infrastructure may process request information for operation and security. Turning Cloud AI off prevents new cloud requests; it cannot undo processing of requests already sent.

07

Your choices and support

You can use core Rhythm features without enabling Cloud AI and can manage entries inside the app. Local data is not recoverable through a Rhythm account. Before deleting the app, consider your device backup settings. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond. Avoid attaching private journal content unless necessary.

08

Withdraw cloud consent

Open Profile and Settings, find Rhythm AI, and turn off “Use Cloud AI for conversations.” This prevents new cloud requests. It does not recall requests already processed or erase local conversation history. Core planning, journals, and timers remain available.

09

Retention and deletion

Local entries remain on your device until you remove them. Delete journal entries and conversations using their in-app deletion controls. Deleting a journal entry also removes its app-owned photo attachments after the change saves. Photos in your system photo library and copies in device backups are managed separately through Apple settings. There is no Rhythm cloud account to delete. Support correspondence is retained as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, and meet applicable obligations.

10

Request help with your data

Email support@motivemotionlab.com with the subject “Rhythm privacy request” to request access to or deletion of information you sent to support. Identify the relevant correspondence without sending additional sensitive content. We may need to verify the request. Support cannot remotely access or erase entries stored only on your device.
